QR code generator
About this tool
This tool turns any text or URL into a QR code as you type. Pick an error-correction level from L to H, then download the result as a PNG at 256, 512, or 1024 pixels, or as a scalable SVG. Where the browser supports it, you can also copy the image straight to your clipboard.
Everything happens in your browser. The text you enter never leaves your machine or touches a server, so it works well for wifi passwords, private links, or anything else you’d rather not hand to a third-party QR generator. A higher error-correction level makes the code more resistant to smudges and damage, at the cost of a denser pattern, so drop it back to L if you need more space for longer text.
Common uses: sharing a URL for someone to scan with their phone, printing a wifi password onto a card, adding a scannable link to a poster or slide deck, or embedding contact details and short messages in a form a camera can read. For background on the format itself, see the QR code article on Wikipedia.
